Our history

Saga Beograd is a privately owned company founded in 1989 in Belgrade, Serbia. At first, company's business focus was on computer networks engineering and computers production.

Ever since than, inside Saga departments for networks, production, sales and purchases operate. In 1993 Saga founded it's first daughter company - Saga Infotech, mainly focused designing and developing hardware and software systems. Today, this company is is the biggest Oracle partner in Serbia. In 1996 a partnership contract with Sun Microsystems was signed. This made Saga's position on system integration market more solid. Today, Saga is Sun Channel Partner and has achieved Sun Partner Advantage and Sun ServicePro statuses. In the same year a cooperation with the company Bay Networks (a Nortel company since 1999) started. A year later, Saga started working with Compaq, the world's best known Windows/Intel based PC and server manufacturer in those days. Compaq was bought by Hewlett Packard in 2002 and since then their products have HP label. In 1997 a contract with Lucent Technologies was signed. Avaya Communications separated from Lucent in 1999, and Saga works with them as well.Saga's Department for Computer Telephony Integration (CTI/IVR) was founded in 1998, and in 2002 it changed it's name to E-business Department. E-banking products developed by this department hold about 40% of their market. In 2000 Saga took over the company ComNET, specialized in telecommunication networks, to further establish it's capabilities and market position. Saga is the biggest Telekom Srbija partner regarding next generation networks.

Saga works with network equipment and services leader Cisco Systems since 2001, and now it is one of the biggest local Cisco partners, with the biggest number of Cisco certified partners. In the same Saga became certified Microsoft partner and today it is are their biggest partner with Large Account Reseller status. In 2002 Saga stared working on Telekom Srbija's most important infrastructure solution project - SMIN (Serbian Multiservice Internet Network). Hundreds of kilometers and over 20,000 of connection positions all over Serbia ensure high quality infrastructure for the Internet network development. Two years later Saga became Microsoft Gold Partner after years of successful cooperation. After successful work on SMIN project, in March 2003 Saga started similar work for Telekom Crna Gora - the implementation of the new multi service data transfer network MIPnet (Montenegrin IP Network). Aim of that project was to create reliable and scalable IP network based on MPLS protocol to allow the implementation of broad array of services such as: VPN, VoIP, Video on Demand, Remote Learning etc.In the same month, Saga became Cisco Premier Partner.

In 2004 Saga stared a cooperation with Hitachi Data System, and with Fujitsu-Siemens Computers (now Fujitsu Technology Solutions) and Interactive Intelligence a year later. In the November 2005 Saga received European Banking Technology Award for the best clearing and reconciliation solution. On June 20, 2006 Saga received ISO 9001 certificate for system designing, solution implementation, services and technical support in ICT. A year later Saga started spreading through the region by opening the representative offices in Podgorica, Montenegro and Banja Luka, Republic of Srpska.

In 2008 Saga became Cisco Silver Certified Partner and on February 9, 2009 Cisco Gold Certified Partner. Two days later, Saga has opened office in Skopje, Macedonia. In the second half of March, Saga received ISO 9001:2008 certification standard. In June Saga became thawte partner. From December 2009, major shareholder is New Frontier Holding GmbH (NFH).
